Spa days...

The rest of the Hot Springs Spring Break trip (the part that wasn't about the dog) was nice and relaxing.

I couldn't convince Warren to go get a massage, but mom and I partook of the waters every day we could!

We did one full bath/spa day and then the next day we did a pedicure, massage, and facial! I really liked the facial -- I hadn't had one before but it felt really good. Mmmmm...

We also did some antiquing and general lazing around. It was a much needed relaxing trip!

Spa dog days...

For Spring Break Mom, Grace, and I trotted Warren off to Hot Springs! We stayed at the Embassy Suites, a place that Grace had stayed before when she maybe weighed 35 lbs...now that she's a little closer to 80 I was a bit worried that they might say we couldn't stay there...but I had decided we'd just waltz in like we owned the place and get a room.

Warren thought he'd stay in the car. He didn't want to go in with us if there was a scene. (!!) ha!

Well, they have certainly changed their ways...now it is all about the dog.

As soon as we walked into the lobby of the hotel Grace was greeted with much petting, love, and snacks...straight out of the doorman's jacket. He even said to her, "We're glad to have ya'll here." !!

When Warren followed us up he was in much disbelief.

Then we found out that they had Doggie Room-service!! and they brought her a dog bed...and they gave her a little greeting package that had a doo-doo bag, tennis ball, rawhide, and cookies in it. !!

Although she much preferred laying on the couch... :-)

Pete the Mouse-killing Tiger...

So, sometime back in March when I ran out of time to blog....Pete killed a mouse!!

One evening after being out on the prowl, he came in and commenced to whine, whine, whine, whine. Meow.

So we let him back out. More whining. M-reaow!

I finally went out to see what the fuss was about and he was sitting most smugly at the edge of the patio and there at the bottom of the steps was a dead mouse!! Warren and I were most amazed at his killer instincts.

Pete was very proud of himself too....as you can see.

Late-breaking news:

I'm so long overdue!! But I want to post pictures with some of the things so I may do lots of little shorts eventually.

I am in Dallas this week! yay! For the TLA conference with mom and Esther...we are staying at aunt Lisa's house (well mom and I are, Esther has her own fancy-shmancy hotel room) which is always calm and relaxing if the cats aren't being too hissy.

I'm staying thru Sunday so that on Saturday I can go to my niece's 2nd birthday party...little kid parties are so much fun :-) and she is my favorite niece. hee hee

More later when my hubby brings me the camera...

~hugs to all
